The CC-4 is a plug-in measuring gauge that measures the wear on the bicycle chain. The CC-4 laser cut accurately measures a long section of the chain and comes in strategic contact with the chain in three places, taking the guesswork out of when a chain change is needed quickly and easily. A worn chain causes poor gear changes and accelerates the wear and tear of the drive. The tool works with any 5- to 12-speed chain (including SRAM® AXS®) and is designed to show exactly when a chain is at .5% and .75% wear, where most chain manufacturers do propose an exchange.
